This vinyl is water and scratch resistant, which is needed for cups. Please keep in mind this essentially creates a sticker, so it wouldn't be recommended for the dishwasher and could be scratched / removed. This doesn't mean its a viable solution for cups, but you need to set customer expectations as well. Sublimation is one of the most popular ways to create more-permanent decoration to things like mugs and tumblers.
